Description:
For all Db2 interested, who want to get involved in the topic Db2 administration in a short time, we offer a very special 3-day Db2 basic intensive course. In addition to the standard topics, the newly available properties of the Db2 BLU technology (similar to SAP HANA) are addressed as the column-oriented in-memory database technology.
On an optional 4th day, the subject of high availability will be discussed with the concepts of Db2 HADR and Tivoli System Automation (TSA).
This workshop offers an optimal introduction to the topics Db2 for LUW, BLU as well as a refresher of existing knowledge.
The documents for the workshop are in German and on the most up-to-date Db2 stand – by means of exercises the theory is practically implemented.

Objective:
The participants will get to know the concepts of the database management system Db2 in this workshop. The use of the existing tools and commands is practiced in the numerous practical blocks.
The participants will then be able to independently set up and expand a Db2 for LUW environment, carry out administrative work and independently expand their knowledge on the basis obtained.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of relational databases, SQL and operating systems (Linux / UNIX, Windows)
