Compliance, in English “Ordinance” or “Plausibility” is a scare word for every software user.

The acquisition of a software product automatically involves the consent to a later compliance audit. In a compliance audit, the lawful, compliant use of the acquired software products is audited by independent auditors. This is done qualitatively as well as quantitatively. Incompliance (= a rule violation) can lead to significant penalties.
